The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans Supports 3 Daily Servings of Dairy

The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which identify low-fat and fat-free milk and milk products as one of the Food Groups to Encourage, also state adding small amounts of sugars to nutrient-dense foods, like reduced-fat milk, may increase consumption by enhancing palatability without contributing extra calories. AAP Soft Drink Policy Statement Recommends Flavored Milk as Replacement
